About Tom
I am passionate about mental health and dedicated to fostering real connections while facilitating personal growth. The bravery, resilience and determination of my clients continuously inspire me in my practice as a counsellor in Sydney.
I have a keen interest in understanding what makes us human - which for me means answering questions like: Why am I suffering? Who am I really? Why do I think and behave the way I do? How do I show up in relationships, whether they are gay, lesbian, queer, or otherwise ? How can I live more joyfully?
If you find yourself asking some of these questions, or others of your own, it would be my honour to help you begin discovering your answers.

How I work
With a focus on mindful awareness of the present moment, I strive to create a calm space in which you can feel truly listened to. I bring attention to what is being experienced in mind, body and spirit.
I adopt an integrated approach, which means using tools from multiple styles of therapy to suit your needs. Some common elements I do bring to each session include deep listening, compassion and curiosity. And when appropriate, a touch of Irish humour.
My work is trauma-informed, with your safety always to the fore. Our work together will always be guided by what’s best for you – my job is neither to lead nor to follow, but to walk alongside you on your journey.
